January 10 – Hamilton Cellars: Bona Vita Blending Seminar- Vintners Logistics, Kennewick, Wash. Gather in a new bonded wine warehouse with winemaker Charlie Hoppes and owners Russ and Stacie Hamilton to prepare the winery’s 2008 signature blend, Bona Vita.

February 27 (Sat) – OBTN 11 (Open That Bottle Night 11) - The Barrel House, Kennewick, Wash. Join us in this worldwide Wall Street Journal event. Participants bring the wine!

March 14 – Rhône Rangers: Why The Popularity? – Sunset Event Center, Richland, Wash. Will feature Prosser’s Maison Bleue Winery, and some of the lesser-known Rhône varietals.

April 17– Pinot Noirs of New Zealand - Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, Wash. – Experience Pinot Noirs from Central Otago, a fast-growing South Island wine region.

May 16 – Annual Meeting featuring Syrah – Meadows Springs Country Club, Richland, Wash. After the meeting, compare Washington Syrahs with others around the world. (Note the new month for the annual meeting.)

June 27– Wines and Food of Campania, Meadows Springs Country Club, Richland, WA – Take a virtual tour of a lesser-known Italian wine region south of Naples.

July 18 – Wines of the Columbia Gorge, Best Western, Pasco Inn & Suites, Pasco, Wash. – “A World of Wine in 40 Miles” – learn about a unique micro-climate perfect for growing premium grapes. Sample results!

August 29 – Annual Picnic and Summer Wines, Washington State University Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center (IAREC), Prosser – Sample and learn about wines good for those hot summer days.

September 19 – Vineyard Series III, Kiona Vineyards and Winery, Benton City, Wash. – Ongoing series featuring prominent Northwest vineyards.

October 17 – Portugal: Much More Than Port – Learn about and taste Portuguese dry table wines gaining recognition for their quality.

November 5/6– Tri-Cities Wine Festival – Judged competition of Northwest wines; also, seminars, public tasting, silent auction, artists, craftsman, music, food and more.

December – Holiday Food & Wine - Always a popular theme. Get your holiday party ideas!
